A simple table that only needs the multirow package for the first two columns. The package manual has the details.

Hi ptrcao,

here you can find examples using multirow: Merging cells vertically. I used them in my LaTeX book.

Thank you for suggested links guys. I'll have to study this some more. The tricky bit is my table is asymmetrical. If anyone can find examples close to my table (see OP), please post links here.
