I am currently trying to typeset a bilingual document with the ledpar-package, and tried to resort to ledmac for multiple footnote streams.
Left side: text a with two footnote streams
Right side: text b with two footnote streams
My "problem" with ledmac is, that (at least with the examples shown in the documentation) I get regular footnotes on the right side text, with a small number within the text, and the corresponding footnote at the bottom of the page.
The other footnote-environments create footnotes that don't show up within the text, but at the bottom of the page, starting with the line-number and followed by a short remark. The next "footnote" follows in the same line with the line number, and so on. (E.g. 2 lorem ipsum 6 dolor sit amet 12 consetetur...)
Is it possible for all of the footnote streams to
a) be visible within the text (either as 1,2,3 & a,b,c; 1,2,3 & I, II,III or something similar)
b) always start as a new footnote (new line) at the bottom?
The footnote streams don't have to align perfectly as the content will not be directly related.
Thanks!
