Natbib

Post by nich »

Hi there,

The Natbib package creates a reference list where each reference is labeled by the in text citation. For example, if I cite Andersen et al. (2003) in the text then the entry in the reference list is:

Andersen et al.(2003) Andersen, Andersen, Andrew & Andy. (2003). Journal of something pp.100-110 no.2 ....

This is rather silly so I assume I have made some sort of mistake. I would like the references to have no label in the reference list or simply a number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

We will need to see some code: post a minimal example.

My apologies,

It turns out the problem is that I have an amazing inability to spot problems that would be blindingly obvious to most other people.

But I've got it sorted out now

Thanks for the reply
