Lyx Header Footer

Post by breatheasier »

Hi,
I'm using Lyx 1.5.6 on linux and I'm trying to add a header in the top right hand corner of the pages.

I have seen tutorials and I have tried setting the page style to fancy and adding:
\rhead{myheader}
to the preamble section in the document settings.
I get no error messages but I don't get any header on my output either.
Can anyone help me?

I hope so. But advanced LyX users from my experience are very rare (not only in this forum). And I'm none of them². You have to include the fancyhdr package somehow into LyX. But I guess you already did that. Otherwise you would get messages about errors. I can't give more advice because I have absolutely no experience with this editor. But perhaps you can show your complete setup for headers and footers in LaTeX code.

Best regards and welcome to the board

More or less, but for these intermediate and advanced features you should try the fantastic Mailing List,
http://www.lyx.org/MailingLists
If you don't know how to handle it try http://blog.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.general
after having subscribed (I guess you can subscribe there, give a try)
