I am interested in creating exams and answer keys in Latex. After poking around a bit I found the exam and examdesign document classes that seem fairly useful. My question is if anyone has tried both of these and can give some tips on the advantages/disadvantages of one vs. the other, and if there is anything else out there I should be looking at as well that I might have missed.
It may be worth point out that the exams will not be in English, so I will need to be able to change any automatic words like "points", and the scoring system for a problem is a bit different than many might be used to ... each problem will have 3 different types of points, so in stead of for example (5) appearing next to a problem to show that it is worth 5 points it will instead have something like (2/2/1), so show the break down in three different "types" of points. In the ultimate situation the last number could be replaced by a small icon, but that is not a strict requirement.
Anyway, any advice from past experience or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Latex exams
You could check the eqexam package by D.P. Story. It seems like a powerful package with a lot of options.
Re: Latex exams
This package seems quite powerful. Is it possible to have one page at the end of the document that will produce a table such that it looks like |question Number|Points Earned|, for all the problems i have entered?
