Download TeX Live 2017
Good afternoon everyone
I have a question about the release date of TexLive 2017. The first date I have read was June 1st, but today at June 4th I haven't found the huge ISO on this page:
https://www.tug.org/texlive/acquire-iso.html
Did I look in the wrong website or the new version is not released yet?

TL 2017 was released today.
Having a closer look, updating TeX Live is a bit like sending a letter in the old days. The letter needs some time until it is delivered. The servers that distribute TL to the world need some time till the letter is delivered. Wait till tomorrow and the installation should be as smooth as always.

The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

Finding TeX Live 2017
Maybe a bit off topic, but posting it here as it is a TeXLive 2017 issue.
I have mirrored the 2016 tlnet directory on to my local machine. If I update the tree in the coming days, am I correct in assuming that I will be getting 2017 release?

if you mirror a texlive/tlnet directory, you will get the new one. For your actual local TeX installation, you need to run an update anyway, even with your local repository, to get tlmgr etc. updated.

Can anyone tell me if the new TeXLive 2017 was finally released? I would like to have the huge ISO to burn it in a DVD

Yes, it is released.
Since it is huge, you may want to find a mirror site near you: https://www.ctan.org/mirrors

Finding TeX Live 2017
Sorry for asking this
I checked your link Stefan, but I don't understand which file do I have to download to get TL 2017, because I always installed before using the huge ISO, but in this case, the last date I have found for TL 2017 was May 23th
Can you explain to me the meaning of the mirrors to install TL?
Why can't I find a downloadable ISO with the most recent date?
Regards
Daniel

Hi Daniel!
When you download something from CTAN, an image or other files, whenever you update, CTAN automatically chooses a mirror for you. It may be based on geographic location, depending on your IP address, I think, to get the nearest mirror to you. So, for example, you would download from a south America mirror server, not from Europe or Asia what would be slower. And, the mirrors distribute the load on the CTAN server, so it doesn't break when thousands of users download gigs, install TeX Live, or update it. That's a great thing, such a grown infrastructure, seen that it's noncommercial. A monitoring page shows the network status.
You can ignore the mirror thing though. It's automatic. I just like to choose a mirror server manually and click my way through (root directory, systems, texlive).
The most recent image is of May 24, that's correct. The remaining days things were finally tested and no problem found that required re-building the image. So you can install it. Actually, texlive.iso is a link to the most recent texlive image so you don't need to check the date in the file name. Here you can see the links:
It is from here.
