changing name from upper case to sentence case

Postby lsntex » Thu Aug 27, 2015 5:20 pm

Hi there,

I am using the Medium Length Professional CV template (http://www.latextemplates.com/template/medium-length-professional-cv) and I am really happy with it so far. My question is about the case of the name that appears at the top of the CV.

How do I change my name at the top from uppercase lettering to sentence case?

For example, right now it reads: JOHN SMITH. I would like it to say: John Smith.

I have tried editing the resume.cls file to add \def\namefont{\normalfont} as you would in other documents, but that does not seem to do the trick. Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

Please add right before \begin{document}:
  1. \makeatletter
  2. \def\printname{%
  3. \hfil{\namesize\bfseries\@name}\hfil
  4. \nameskip\break
  5. }
  6. \makeatother

Please note, that \bf is obsolete for two decades. It should be \bfseries.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
