How to define correct output profiles using Splitindex?

Postby ks-zadeh » Sun Apr 12, 2015 3:47 pm

I am having problems using the package splitindex to create two indices (for author names and subject). How to define correct output profiles to create these two indexes? I appreciate receiving advice.

Is this an editor related question? In that case, tell us the name of the editor, because it's not in an editor subforum where we could guess it, but in the Makeindex subforum.

By the way, if you would provide a Infominimal working example, even a user who did not work with splitindex before, could test it and perhaps make a suggestion.

Obviously my definition of postprocessors is incorrect. For Latex prompts the following error message which says that it can't create the necessary .ind files.

Dear Stefan:

My two indexes are named: namesind, subjind. In the Latex "output" window for postprocessors ("Nachbearbeitung") I have entered:

For nemesind:
Anwendung: the path of the programm file makeindex.exe
Argumente: the path of the data file namesind.idx
Eingabeumleitung: the path of the data file namesind.ilg
Ausgabeummeldung: the path of the data file namesind.ind

For subjind I have entered the analog of the above. What is wrong in these entries?

Thanks.

Kazem

Ah, so such a window in LyX? Or TeXnicCenter? Texmaker? WinEdt? WinShell? TeXstudio? TeXworks? TeXshop? Kile?

I see you write also in German. You can also visit our German partner forum http://texwelt.de and post your question there.
I'm pretty done for today, having to ask for details several times is a bit boring.
