Problem with generation of PDF

Post by CRH »

Dear all,

I just installed Miktex (basic-miktex-2.9.6520-x64) and Texnikcenter (TXCSetup_2.02Stable_x64) for windows.
The compilation of the document works properly. However the generation of the PDF leads to TXC to collapse. First, Adobe opens but no document is to be seen. TXC does not react anymore and I have to close it.
No error message is given.

Surprisingly, a PDF is to be found in the folder where all latex documents are located.

I checked the viewer path and I think it is correct (see attachment).

Does someone have any idea?

Thank you!

Problem with generation of PDF

Welcome to the forum!

This seems to be a TeXnicCenter issue. Perhaps try another editor, since TXC wasn't updated for quite a long time. TeXstudio and Texmaker are good complex editors like TXC, while I prefer TeXworks since it's a clear and fast editor.

Thanks for the suggestions, Stefan. Are both of those alternatives free to use by the way?
