No "polish' option in babel

Postby Jan Borowiec » Sat Aug 22, 2020 9:39 pm

I recently changed from Xubuntu to Linux Mint 20. After the change, I'm facing difficulties with the "polish' option in the babel package. Here is the minimum sample:

Code: [Select all] [Expand/Collapse] [Download] ({untitled.tex})
  1. \documentclass[11pt,a4paper]{article}
  2. \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}
  3. \usepackage[polish]{babel}
  4. \usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
  5.
  6. \begin{document}
  7. MINIMUM WORKING EXAMPLE.
  8. \end{document}

Here is the latex translation result:

Code: [Select all] [Expand/Collapse] [Download] ({untitled.tex})
  1. ! Package babel Error: Unknown option `polish'. Either you misspelled it
  2. (babel) or the language definition file polish.ldf was not found
  3. .
  4.
  5. See the babel package documentation for explanation.

Reason: Added code markup
