inputenc errors caused by different LaTeX environments?

Postby richardk » Wed Apr 09, 2014 1:41 pm

On my iMac, \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} get's me "Package inputenc Error: Keyboard character used is undefined". I don't get this error on my MacBook.

Conversely, \usepackage[latin1]{inputenc} causes the same error on my MacBook, but not on my iMac.

Both machines use the same MacTeX / TeXLive-2013 distribution, and I use the same editor (TextMate 2.0) on both.

Could I somehow have created different LaTeX environments on each machine? How should I go about finding what causes this problem?

A link is more useful, than just a note ;-)

The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
