How to make “book” put all page numbers in footer?

Postby fgasper » Thu Jul 11, 2019 2:17 pm

Hello,

I’m putting a book-class document together, and I find that LaTeX puts odd page numbers at the bottom in the center while even page numbers are on the left of the header.

Does anyone know how I can make all page numbers appear at the bottom in the center?

Thank you!

By default, the start of a chapter uses the plain page style, where the page number is at the bottom of the page.

If you want to change headers and footers, you may choose from several packages. Personally, i like to use scrlayer-scrpage.
Please have a look at the wikibook.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.
