Create an autogenerated list of created math command

Postby Tropic » Tue Feb 05, 2013 3:00 pm

Hello,

Here is my problem:

First I have create a couple of math command such as:

\newcommand \Ilt{\ensuremath{i1}}

to have a constant symbol for my entire report

My problem is the following: At the begining of my report I would like to create a list with all the different math command I ve created and add a description .

I would like to know if there is a way to generate this list automatically? or is there another way to have the same result?

Thanks

Hi Tropic,

welcome to the board!

This sounds like a glossary, and the glossaries package is a great tool for this.

Hello,

Thanks for your fast response. I ve found a couple information useful for another of my problem
For this one it's more a nomenclature problem. I ve found enough information in the nomenclature package and create a function to answer my question.

Again, thank you for your response

I just think the glossaries package would also make a good job for a nomenclature, compared to the much older nomencl package.
