path to grapchics on DOK

Postby yotama9 » Thu Sep 24, 2009 3:05 pm

Hi.

I'm writing my thesis using LaTeX. I want to create a separate folder for images. I will use different OS and different machines for my thesis.

Is there a way to insert graphic to the file when the graphics are in a subfolder to the current one without using the full path? is there a way to do it so it will be cross-platform?

Thanks.

Hi Yotam,

yes, relative paths should work, also on different platforms. Use it the way
  1. \includegraphics{subpath/image}

In the UK TeX FAQ you can find some more information: Importing graphics from “somewhere else” especially for more efficient methods.

Thanks. It worked on my windows machine. I didn't yet try it on my Linux machine.
