disable column in a table

Postby fhrttn » Fri Dec 21, 2018 1:15 pm

  1. \begin{table}[h]
  2. \begin{center}
  3. \caption{A}
  4. \begin{tabular}{|c|c|c|c|c|c|}
  5. ....
  6. ....
  7. ....
  8. \hline
  9. \end{tabular}
  10. \end{center}
  11. \end{table}

Is it possible to disable a column in a table ? I do not want to remove, If I need it I want to use it again..Thanks in advance

Yes, that's possible. This is by Martin Scharrer, showing how the collcell package written by him can be used:

  1. \usepackage{collcell}
  2. \makeatletter
  3. \newcolumntype{H}{>{\collectcell\@gobble}c<{\endcollectcell}@{}}
  4. \makeatother

Then just change c into H, in tabular.
