figures ont text

Postby fhrttn » Thu Jan 25, 2018 10:21 am

  1. \begin{figure}[h]
  2. \centering
  3. \includegraphics[totalheight=0.35\textheight]{b.eps}
  4. \caption{awd}\label{40cafig}
  5. \end{figure}

I have used this version to add figures. But figures overflow, "(I attached an example)".

Hi,

the code is ok. (I just would use [ht] at least, and I usually prefer the more relaxed [!htbp]).

It is an EPS figure, which has a bounding box, that states the figure dimensions. I guess that the bounding box is wrong. There are ways to fix it, if that is the case. Perhaps post that EPS image here as attachment, to look into it, or open it with a graphics software, fix the bounding box, or convert it.
