Table of Contents big gaps

Postby gntevetzakis » Tue Sep 13, 2016 3:46 pm

hello I have a problem with the table of contents for my thesis.

The gaps between subsections and subsubsections sometimes are big.
as shown in the attachment.

Any idea?

Hi and welcome,

what you se isn't normal and introduced somewhere in your document. Please show a minimal working example so we can reproduce the behaviour and help you.
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

I forgot to refer that I use Scientific Workplace 5.5 to generate LaTex code and the only thing I did is to enter the \tableofcontents command at the area i want to print the contents.

Hi,

nobody can guess what happened without seeing the code. I mean, we don't even know what document class you use. Standard document classed don't do it, so it's either in your thesis document class or in your own code. There's a vertical spacing command. If you would like us to point at it, post at least that class as link or as attachment (.cls file), possibly with some code (your text parts are not needed).
