### Graphics

I have two images that I want to be side be side, under a single caption called "figure 1" Right now, I have one that is on top of a page, and one that is below. How do you get it to be side to side? Thanks!

\begin{figure}\vspace*{-3cm}\includegraphics[scale=0.76]{Figure1.png}\end{figure}\begin{figure}\hspace{5em}\includegraphics[scale=1]{Figures1.png}\vspace*{5cm}\caption{} \end{figure}

Use {minipage} or the subfigure, subfig or subcaption package.

See here for a code example.
