Hi,

for body text in normal document I would always use a font with serifs, that's better for reading. Latin Modern (\usepackage{lmodern}) is a good choice (in general, with and without serifs).

For headings, I prefer without serifs. The reason is, that headings are already big and bold and when one adds serifs they look too heavy. And in my opinion, headings without serifs look more modern.

So I use the KOMA-Script defaults, headings without serifs and body text with serifs. The KOMA author made that choice because of such reasons.
