Delete some Content from Title  Topic is solved

Postby Lalitp » Sun Apr 07, 2013 8:32 am

I am following this sequence of code.
  1. \documentclass[12pt]{article}
  2.
  3. \title{Three Dimentional Surface Inspection Using Laser Triangulation}
  4. \author{Lalit Patil\\ M. S. University of Baroda}
  5. \date{\today\\ Department of Electrical Engineering\\ Automatic Control and Robotics}
  6.
  7. \begin{document}
  8. \maketitle
  9. \tableofcontents
  10. \end{document}

But in this I don't want date section. When I delete it then my code shows error. Except date I want everything in above code. So what to do?

Reason: Source code has to be tagged as such to keep a post clear and legible (see Board Rules).

Just drop \today\\ in the \title command.
