### Delete some Content from Title  Topic is solved

I am following this sequence of code.
\documentclass[12pt]{article} \title{Three Dimentional Surface Inspection Using Laser Triangulation}\author{Lalit Patil\\ M. S. University of Baroda}\date{\today\\ Department of Electrical Engineering\\ Automatic Control and Robotics} \begin{document}\maketitle\tableofcontents\end{document}

But in this I don't want date section. When I delete it then my code shows error. Except date I want everything in above code. So what to do?

Reason: Source code has to be tagged as such to keep a post clear and legible (see Board Rules).

Just drop \today\\ in the \title command.
