Numbered references.

Postby nipj » Mon Oct 22, 2018 2:46 am

Hello all!

I'm using "apacite" package and I was wondering whether there is a way to add numbers to every reference used in the bibliography. If yes, please provide an example.

Thanks & regards.

I think I got what i want. I used the following code in the preamble:

  1. \usepackage{etoolbox}
  2. \makeatletter
  3. \newcounter{bibcount}
  4. \renewcommand{\thebibcount}{\arabic{bibcount}.} % format number
  5. \patchcmd{\@lbibitem}{\item[}{\item[\stepcounter{bibcount}{\hss\llap{\thebibcount}\quad}}{}{}
  6. \makeatother
