Business plans

Postby reddvinylene » Fri May 01, 2009 10:35 am

Hi,

I'm all new to LaTeX. But I'm sick of wasting my time in WYSIWYG editors trying to get the layout "just right".

Can someone help me do something like this in LaTeX? I'd have to import an EPS for the front page. Perhaps do a couple of tables as well.

Many thanks!

Hi there,

How new are you to LaTeX? Have you ever created a document with it? If I say preamble or document class, does it mean anything to you?

I'm asking these question to understand where I should start my explanation. If you have already made a few documents, or have access to source file or some, then we're in for detailled explanations. Otherwise, you should start by looking at a few starting points, and we can give you a hand to be on your way to creating wonderful documents.

To answer your questions simply, a business plan, like the example shown in the link, can be created very simply with either book, article or report document class. I believe that report would probably work best for you.

Looking forward to giving a hand in the future. Cheers

Hi there!

Yes, I've had a little bit experience with LaTeX in the past so I should be able to understand its basic terminology.

I am currently looking for some examples to follow. I do find the fontinstallationguide to be very sweet.

What do you think?

Frame your demands for creating this business plan. Seems to me like a standard document with no big exceptional settings.

Hi there fellow latex'ers!

Any progress on this post? If not, then I have some great examples that I would love some help with in re-creating in LateX.

Please see attached.

In my opinion this kind of document requires a new document class which provides general formatting.

I ended up doing my own version of

in InDesign. I've spent years on this business plan now, it's starting to get pretty tight :D

This solution is rather useless for the community of a LaTeX forum.
