What's the proper way to customize the QED symbol in acmart?

Postby user49915 » Mon Aug 05, 2019 7:34 pm

Using acmart, we would like to have a black for at the end of the proofs and white boxes for all other environments for which the end is not necessarily clear from the context. What's the "standard" way to do it?

MWE:
  1. \documentclass[sigplan,10pt,review,anonymous,USenglish,natbib=false]{acmart}
  2. \begin{document}
  3. \begin{proof}
  4. This is a proof with \(\square\) at its end. We wish to have \(\blacksquare\) as standard for the end-of-proofs.
  5. \end{proof}
  6. \begin{proof}
  7. This is a proof with \(\square\) on the last line. Instead, we wish to have \(\blacksquare\) also here.
  8. \[e^{i\pi}+1=0\qedhere\]
  9. \end{proof}
  10. \begin{definition}
  11. This is a definition with \(\square\) at its end. This qed symbol is o.k.\qed
  12. \end{definition}
  13. \begin{example}
  14. This is an example with \(\square\) on the last line. It's also ok here.
  15. \[e^{i\pi}+1=0\tag*{\qed}\]
  16. \end{example}
  17. \end{document}
