Beamer and minipages

Postby peaches2165 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 9:23 pm

Hi,

I'm using
  1. \documentclass{beamer}
  2. \usetheme{Copenhagen}

and am trying to create a minipage with an itemized list on the left and an image on the right.

My trouble is the itemized list on the left is showing up half way down the page and I want it at the top inline with the top of the photo.. I am using

  1. \begin{frame}
  2. \begin{minipage}[t]{0.47\textwidth}
  3. itemized stuff
  4. \end{minipage}
  5. \begin{minipage}[t]{0.47\textwidth}
  6. \includegraphics[width=2.0in}{filename}
  7. \end{minipage}

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Nancy

The beamer class offers the columns environment for such use cases. Please refer to the user guide for detailed explanations. In case of further upcoming questions please provide a self-contained and minimal example.
