Announcements ⇒ New forum structure

Hi all,

in the meanwhile we have more than 3,000 topics at LaTeX-Community! To ensure that we all will have the overview about the topics even in the future we have revised our forum structure especially for the LaTeX category.

Instead of only the old General and Packages & Document Classes forum we now have a more detailed forum hierarchy. Additionally we added the completely new forum category LaTeX's Friends containing sub forums for BiBTeX, MakeIndex, Conversion Tools and Viewers.

The messages from the Packages & Document Classes forum have been moved to the new Document Classes forum. Though this is not perfect, it was better than merging it with LaTeX > General from my point of view. The old LaTeX > General is still existing with it's old topics.

Please be sure to read the new forum guide before posting new topics.
