Hi.
I noticed that since I installed the new v8 of Acrobat Reader, I have problems to view the PDF from within texnicenter!
And as I use this feature a lot it is quiet anoying ... (I know: this is opensource and I can and will NOT expect anything... just to mention it ;-)
Ok so here is the thing:
If I successfully compiled with the LaTeX to PDF mode and press F5 I get a message window "TeXnicCenter" telling me:
-----------------------------------------------
[DocOpen("%bm.pdf")][FileOpen("%bm.pdf")]
This command could NOT be excuted.
-----------------------------------------------
And the same after compiling with Ctrl+F5.
Nevertheless even though very seldomly from time to time it WORKS?!
BUT if it worked there occure too more issues:
If it worked and I close the Acrobat Reader (with ALT+F4) then (I don't remember exactly this point) I think the acrobat reader crashes with an illegal-somehting-exception!
And the SAME crash window I get: If it worked and I press AGAIN F5!
For the moment I could not make any sense out of when it worked and when not...
Restarting Texnicenter does not change something.
Cleaning the Project does not change somehting.
Any ideas?
Or is it a bug?
Greetings,
tormen.
P.S.: As there was no "bug" forum I hope this is the right corner to post this?
LaTeX forum ⇒ Development ⇒ Seems like a bug with new Acrobat Reader v8 to me?!
You will find a solution for your problem there http://www.latex-community.org/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14
Thnx a lot for this hint. Sorry for not searching myself first!
