Incorrect Parameters for predefined Symbols

Postby nikolamilevski » Sun Feb 23, 2014 5:01 pm

Hello,

I was using TeXnicCenter for some time without any problems. But few days ago suddenly I can't enter predefined signs or symbols offered in the text editor. It says "The parameter is incorrect." It doesn't say which parameter is incorrect and how to fix it. So I must look on-line for the syntax of every sign or symbol, which is time consuming.

If anyone has any idea what is going on, please tell me.

Sincerely,
Nikola

Can you be a bit more specific? Which symbols are you trying to enter in? What is giving you the error/warning message? Is it TXC or latex/pdflatex.
Which version of TXC are you working with?
The smart way: Calm down and take a deep breath, read posts and provided links attentively, try to understand and ask if necessary.

I am using 2.01 stable (64 bit) version.

The message is given for most symbols I am trying to enter in by clicking on the symbol in the toolbar where it is located. For example, Greek letters, symbol for partial derivative, for integral etc. But, strangely, error doesn't occur if I click on the symbol for fraction or for square root.

And yes, error message is given by TeXnicCenter, not latex/pdflatex.

I don't have TXC installed on my system, so i can only suppose it is some kind of bug. Please contact the TXC Support people for more help. Be sure to search for common behaviour first and add as many detail as possible.

If it is a Bug and gets fixed, it would be nice to leave a note hear.

Thanks
Johannes
