Sublime Text

Postby marciano » Sat Oct 17, 2009 2:45 am

I haven't seen it mentioned here, so here goes---

Sublime Text is a text editor for Windows with a few unique features. For details, see:

It comes with Textmate-compatible syntax highlighting, so LaTeX is very well supported. It is also compatible with Textmate snippets, and by default provides snippets for the insertion of equations and the like. You can try it out for a while, but registration costs $60 (more or less the same as Textmate).

Furthermore, there is a LaTeX package that, once again, is inspired b Textmate's LaTeX bundle. Get it at

(look for LaTeX). It integrates with SumatraPDF to provide inverse/forward search via SyncTeX, among other features (see the documentation on the wiki).

I am the author of the LaTeX package, not the text editor. I'd be very interested in any feedback you may have.

Looks great. I tried it, but it wont work. I followed the instructions and can see that the packages are installed, but when I try to textify it, nothing happens. I might not have set the right PATH, but I have no clue what that means and where to change it?

I'm using this plugin with Sublime Text 2 on OSX 10.6.8. For cleanup options, please see the following threads: ... 27&t=22706 ... 12&t=22763
