Hi,
have you looked in the manual?:

BeniBela,

Yes, I have looked at the manual. Sorry, but I find the manual not very helpful. Section 4.7 ("Forward/Inverse search" with Texmaker) is not at all clear and certainly does not offer examples for use with mac.

I have tried inserting the '@' character, but that causes texmaker to not compile any of my code.

Any help would be wonderful!

Hi,
the actual command you have to use depends on the viewer you use, so the best way is to get both manuals and compare them...
For the forward search a command like "?path to viewer? ?linenumber=?@ ?filename=?%" has to been set in texmakerx. (?path to viewer? must be replaced with its path and ?linenumber=? as well as ?filename=? must be replaced with a command depending on the viewer)
And the inverse search has to been set in the viewer and looks like "?path to texmakerx? ?filename? -line ?linenumber?" where ?filename? and ?linenumber? also depends on the viewer. (there is an example for skim)

If you find the right combination out, I can add it to the manual
