LATEX 2 HTML

Postby TripleJump » Mon Jun 01, 2009 1:09 pm

Hello!
Sorry for my English, it isnt very good.

I'm not really well versed in Latex, this is the first day I tray to work with it.

I get an error message while converting latex to html with texmaker 1.9.1.
The log:
'Compiling input file. Please wait...
Scanning Files. Please wait...
Error: could not start the command.'
Does anyone know the problem?
What have I to do?

Greetings,
Nico

Hi there,

Did you ever compiled your LaTeX file into .pdf or .dvi???

I never went into the codes of LaTeX2HTML, but I suspect they might need a compile output file.

Cheers

Hi,

Did the program LaTeX2html ever worked??? If not, have you tried reinstalling it??? Is the program installed at all???

I am trying to see the different options that you have, at this point.

Can you compile to .ps?
And have you ghostscript installed?

The latex2html tool calls, latex->dvips->ghostscript

Hi mac,

welcome to the forum!

I load the TeX software from http://tug.org/texlive/. Other packages I get from http://ctan.org, which is the main TeX archive network. If you would need other software, let us know. Almost all of TeX related software is freely available.
