Hi!
I am currently switching from TeXnicCenter to Texmaker/Texstudio. I tried both and I prefer Texmaker (for one reason because of the preview window handling). However, it has one major disadvantage for me. In Texstudio, if I have a project with a master file, the structure view on the left always shows me that master file on top and then puts the sub-files below, also with their own structure in a tree-like view. And it stays that way, no matter which of the project's sub-files I have opend in the editor, so I have access to all associated files from there.
In Texmaker, however, the master file is only shown when currently active (i.e., shown in the editor window), and when I open a sub-file, that master file is gone from the structure view and only the current file is shown with it's structure. To get back to the master file and from there to other sub-files, I have to chose the master file from the drop down menu and then click the next sub-file from the master file's structure view.
This is rather complicated and quite annoying. Is there any way to get the "correct" structure behavior from Texstudio in Texmaker?

Still didn't find a solution for this?
There is one possibility of viewing all opened files: View -> List of all opened files. They are then displayed below the structure window.

Hi all,
In TexMaker, if you enable the 'Pdf Viewer' from 'View' menu, you can use 'Show/Hide Table of Contents' option given on the top right (See the attached screenshot). If you choose showing the table of contents, you can see the whole structure of your document and also navigate through sections/subsections/etc. by clicking on the titles. However, this table of contents is updated only when you build the pdf.
