moderncv class won't compile

Postby diazlg » Fri Oct 10, 2014 11:33 am

While I had Ubuntu 12.04LTS and LYX 2.0 my CV compiled perfectly. A couple of months ago I changed to Xubuntu 12.04 also, and my CV stopped compiling, so I updated LYX to version 2.1.2 hoping to solve the issue, but nothing happens. This is the Error Message in the Output pane:

11:14:12.865: Exporting ...
11:14:12.878: (buffer-update: Ctrl+Shift+R)
11:14:13.055: Error while exporting format: PDF (pdflatex)File '/tmp/lyx_tmpdir.HvflQywr5109/lyx_tmpbuf1/CV_french.tex' was not closed properly.

This is my first post, for sure there is some information lacking, please, feel free to ask anything that might improve the question and topic.

Thank you very much for all your help.

Hi diazig,

welcome to the forum!

Perhaps there's a character or symbol in your file, which is not encodable.

Could you post a copy of your LyX file or the LaTeX export here as attachment? Of course you can remove the confidential content in that copy before posting. It's only important that it would generate this error too, so we can verify and fix it.
