Hello, every-one! This is my first post in the forum.
I want to suggest a new feature for LyX that, in my opinion, it is simple-enough and agrees with the WYSIWYM paradigm: include an option to seek and create labels in the "Insert cross-reference" dialog.
The idea is that when writing one don't always know in advance if certain equation / figure / section / etc. would require a label to be referenced later on. But with this new option one could summon the "Insert cross-reference" dialog and seek for the item in question, select it and in case that such item has no-label, to manually assign one in that instant.
I hope you guys like the idea. And sorry for my bad English.
