I have been using LyX on the Mac for a while now. I have gotten very used to the Shift-Command-M method for creating and toggling display math formulae.
It does not seem to be work in the latest release on Sonoma 14.6.1 on a Mac mini. I am using LyX 2.4.1 as installed via homebrew.
Command-M will create an inline formula but Shift-Command-M will do nothing. It does not create a new formula and it does not toggle an existing inline formula. If I run from the terminal, I get the following output when hitting shift-command-M:
2024-09-30 10:45:14.624 lyx[17471:24990136] Unable to find object to handle service <_NSServiceEntry - 0x600000629900:

I can create a display formula with Insert->Math->Display Formula - it's just the hot key sequence that fails.
Thanks for any help.
