Remove Figure x.x from Captions Topic is solved

Hello everybody, I'd like to remove the standard text "Figure x.x" from captions inside floats. Minimal example: \documentclass[a5paper,oneside]{book} \usepackage{fontspec} \setmainfont[Mapping=tex-text,Numbers=OldStyle]{Junicode} \setcounter{secnumdepth}{3} \setcounter{tocdepth}{3} \usepa...

\part Followed by Blank Page with extbook

Hello everybody, When I use the extbook document class, \part is routinely followed by a pesky blank page :evil: , which doesn't occur if the normal book class is used, but since I need 14pt font size, I'm in a quandary... :cry: \documentclass[a5paper, openany, 14pt]{extbook} \usepackage{extsizes} \...

Re: Uppercase Accented Characters with titlesec Topic is solved

Thanks to Uwe Lueck on tug.org for suggesting this workaround:

  1. \smash{États}

It'd still be interesting though to know why this happens.

Uppercase Accented Characters with titlesec Topic is solved

Hello, Customized sections, etc., with titlesec display an odd quirk: uppercase accented characters on the SECOND line increase line spacing. This, however, doesn't occur on the first or third lines, nor in any other part of the text. Take a look for yourself. \documentclass[a5paper, openany, 12pt]{...

Re: Lining figures in ToC

Thanks Johannes_B, but you see, I'm rather picky about that: I want lining figures as chapter numbers (because titles are all caps), but text figures in page numbers.

Is it possible to get that?

How can I use LaTeX fonts with fontspec?

Hello, I know fontenc is used to access fonts like Garamond etc... but since I'm accustomed to using XeLaTeX, I'm stuck with fontspec and this only recognizes a handful of fonts like Computer Modern and the TeX Gyre series, he cannot make use of the others. Am I forced to switch back to pdfLaTeX in ...

Lining figures in ToC

Hello everybody, I normally use Text Figures in the body text, but since ToC entries are all caps, I need chapter numbers to be Lining Figures. How can I do that? Can tocloft help me achieve that? \documentclass{book} \usepackage{fontspec} \setmainfont[Mapping=tex-text, Numbers=OldStyle]{Latin Moder...

Re: Increased Size and uppercased Name of Endnotes List Topic is solved

Thank you so much you've been of such a great help to me!!! I really don't know how I could have pulled it off without you! hang is better for numberless chapter titles such as Notes' because display leaves an empty space above the title when there's no chapter number. \titleformat{name=\chapter,num...
