Re: Accessing a previous LaTeX \def Topic is solved

You can use \let or \edef to save the old definition in \linedL

  1. \documentclass{scrartcl}
  2. \usepackage{xspace}
  3. \edef\linedL{\L\noexpand\xspace}
  4. \def\L{\mathcal{L}}
  5.
  6. \begin{document}
  7. \linedL and $\L$
  8. \end{document}

Re: Facyhdr: Remove dot after section number Topic is solved

Redefine \sectionmark without ending dot \documentclass[12pt]{report} \usepackage{fancyhdr} \pagestyle{fancy} \fancyhf{} \fancyhead[R]{\rightmark} \fancyfoot[C]{\thepage} \setlength{\headheight}{14.5pt} \renewcommand\sectionmark[1]{% \markright{\thesection\ #1}} \usepackage{blindtext} \begin{documen...

Re: Double superscript error

The double superscript is in
  1. \sum^{100}_{i=0}^k ...

Maybe you can use
  1. \usepackage{mathtools}
  2. $\sum^{100}_{i=0}\prescript{k}{}{C}_i$

Re: Centered Author Name in Footer of Presentation Topic is solved

You can define your own beamer template for the footline to center the author in the left part of the footline: \documentclass{beamer} \usetheme{Copenhagen}% loads outer theme "split" \usepackage{lmodern} \setbeamertemplate{footline} {% \leavevmode% \hbox{\begin{beamercolorbox}[wd=.5\paper...

Re: Additional Line at specific Point on Abscissa

Here is an example with an additional line at x=400: \documentclass[margin=5mm]{standalone} \usepackage{pgfplots} \begin{document} \begin{tikzpicture} \begin{loglogaxis}[xlabel=$x$,ylabel=$y$] % additional line at x=400: \draw(current axis.south-|{axis cs:400,1})% --(current axis.north-|{axis cs:400...

Re: Making family tree presentation slide Topic is solved

These three lines are only for a preview of the tikz drawings. You can delete them.

  1. \usepackage[active,tightpage]{preview}
  2. \PreviewEnvironment{tikzpicture}
  3. \setlength\PreviewBorder{15pt}
