Re: Use special character as a variable in a formula Topic is solved

Other possibilities are
  1. $t=\mathord{?}$

and
  1. $t={}?$

Re: Section number in footer using fancyhdr Topic is solved

\sectionmark is called by every \section command. Then the first argument of \markboth sets a left mark and the second sets a right mark. \rightmark uses the first right mark on a page and \leftmark uses the last.

Re: Section number in footer using fancyhdr Topic is solved

You can try

  1. \renewcommand{\sectionmark}[1]{%
  2. \markboth{\thesection}{\thesection}}
  3. \rfoot{\rightmark{} to \leftmark}

Re: Book page order change in PDF

If you want to get a booklet you can use the package pdfpages in a new document

  1. \documentclass{book}
  2. \usepackage{pdfpages}
  3. \begin{document}
  4. \includepdf[pages=-,booklet,landscape]{<yourdocumentname>}
  5. \end{document}

Re: Bicolor character Topic is solved

There is a suggestion with tikz: \documentclass{scrartcl} \usepackage{tikz} \newcommand\grletter[1]{% \tikz[baseline=(l.base),inner sep=0pt,outer sep=0pt]{ \node[green](l){\phantom{#1}}; \begin{scope} \clip(l.south)rectangle(l.north west);\node[green]at(l){#1}; \end{scope} \begin{scope} \clip(l.sout...

Re: Inline Todonote

Why do you use a table for the math environment? To change the linewidth for your inline todonote put it in a \parbox. \documentclass[a4paper, 12pt, fleqn]{article} \usepackage{todonotes} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage[frenchb]{babel} \usepackage[a4paper]{geometry} \geo...

Re: Highlighting a Chunk of Code within a lstlisting

You can use hf-tikz : \documentclass{scrartcl} \usepackage{listings} \lstset{escapechar=§} \usepackage[norndcorners,customcolors]{hf-tikz} \hfsetbordercolor{yellow} \hfsetfillcolor{yellow} \begin{document} \begin{lstlisting} public §\tikzmarkin{glw}§class MyRunnable§\tikzmarkend{glw}§ implements Run...

Re: Dictionary headers using fancyhdr Topic is solved

In twocolumn mode \rightmark contains the first mark in the second column. You have to load fixltx2e to get the first mark of the first column on a page. And of course you have to set \markboth manually in every entry. \documentclass[letterpaper]{book} \usepackage{fixltx2e} \usepackage{fancyhdr} % D...

Re: Customize numbering in the theorem environment

You can redefine \theassump

  1. \newtheorem{assump}{Assumption}
  2. \renewcommand\theassump{A\arabic{assump}}

Here is a Suggestion: \documentclass[a4paper]{article} \usepackage{fancyhdr} \pagestyle{fancy} \fancyhf{} \rhead{\leftmark} %\rfoot{\thepage} \setlength{\headheight}{15pt} \usepackage{blindtext} \begin{document} \section*{Word of thanks\markboth{\MakeUppercase{Word of thanks}}{}} \clearpage \tableof...
