Different Line Spacing for Footnotes

This is probably a fairly simple issue, but is there a way to specify line-spacing rules specifically for footnote text? I'm required to double-space the main body text, but double-spacing the footnotes is neither required nor practical.

Is there a way to set that globally?

MikTex appears to be windows-only. I'm using Lyx on a Linux system, and the KOMA-Script library. Is there a way to typeset Arabic and Hebrew (and, what I suspect will also be useful for typesetting the bible, polytonic Greek) correctly on such a system?
