Re: Chapter title sizes

Hi j5comp,

what documentclass do you use? Using report and no special package for sectioning titles I would redefine \@makechapterhead.

Re: thebibliography spilling into Appendix

Hi BMAcox,

you could write:
  1. \appendix
  2. \section*{Appendix}
  3. ...

Or what exactly do you mean?

Re: thebibliography spilling into Appendix

Hi BMAcox, there is no appendix environment with the standard classes. Just write \appendix instead of \begin{appendix} ... \end{appendix}. You could use \clearpage (\cleardoublepage) to force the output of floating figures before the beginning of the bibliography. Alternatively you might use \Float...

Re: How to redirect latex output to multiple files?

Hi tuceryan,

welcome to this board!
I like to say welcome to you. But I'm afraid it may not be possible what you want to do, at least I don't know a way. Either I would split with pdfpages later, or spilt into several tex files before.

Re: gmeometric

Oh, there are many error messages!
At first you should update your gmutils package, your installed version of gmutils is too old for gmeometric, use your MiKTeX package manager. That should fix some of the errors, then we can go further.

Re: gmeometric

my document does not start with the titlepage I understand that it should? When I try to reproduce this behaviour with the code given by you, the pdf starts with the titlepage. Could you provide more code? For instance the titlepage.tex. After every \geometry tag I get "<4<40" on the page...

Re: gmeometric

Hello Hightower, welcome to the board! Your question was already posted to another board: here . It would have been be nice if you had mentioned it, especially if there might appear answers. Of course we help you with pleasure here too. You should get warnings about over-specifications in vertical a...

Re: Struggling with Table and Figure floats

Hi Trip, I believe there's a way to position at least graphics without using a float environment Yes, there is. Don't use the figure environment. Captions are still possible using \captionof and the caption package (or capt-of ), even included in the list of figures. Example: \documentclass[a4paper,...

Re: Figures keep shoving down to next page

Hi Dooley, welcome to the board! What do you intend exactly? If you want to prevent the floating of the image completely, you can remove the figure environment. You still may give a caption to the picture by using \captionof of the caption (or capt-of ) package. You can force the output of the curre...
