Putting acknowledgement footnote

Make the first page a proper title page with a title page Lyx inset/feature or \maketitle or \begin{titlepage} ... \end{titlepage}. Or use the \thanks command in author names, such as \author{First Name\thanks{a footnote}}.

Error in using package Topic is solved

It's just the cite package here, that doesn't work with elsarticle.

If you don't write \usepackage{cite} then the problem doesn't appear.

Problem with reading image name in LaTeX Topic is solved

Hi,

the image name is an argument (parameter) for the \includegraphics command. Such mandatory arguments have to be in curly braces. So this would work:

  1. \includegraphics[width=12cm, height=8cm]{graphics}

Version changes and keyval errors

It's caused by this line:

\tableofcontents[currentsection,currentsubsection*]

There's no problem with \tableofcontents[currentsection].

You can post the code here. If it's big, you can post it as attachment. The Attachments link is right below the text edit field, when writing a post. If it's still readable, you can post it right inline in a post. There's a Code button at the top for writing, it does syntax highlighting and online c...

Hi, people

Hi,

welcome to the forum!

Scientific papers and presentations, that's a common use. :-) I still use it for documentation in my engineering work, both for text and for drawings.

Classical Greek aspiration mark shifts to letter or punctuation on the left Topic is solved

Hi David! I don't have the Cardo font on my Mac so I cannot test it. But I tested with pdfLaTeX for comparison and it works normally. \documentclass{article} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage[greek]{babel} \begin{document} \Huge μηδὲ ῥάβδον \end{document} greek.png Ste...

Hello to all

Hi David,

welcome to the forum!

Thanks for buying my books! :-) I use the money I earn from the books to run the server with this forum, and German and French TeX forums too.

Inquire about Underfull \hbox

It's done this way: \usepackage{parskip} And remove the \\ at line ends. So, full example: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{parskip} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage{graphicx} \DeclareUnicodeCharacter{202F}{\,} \begin{docum...
