New ProTex user, and a bit lost

You can use your Windows fonts with XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX. Simplest example:

Code: [Select all] [Expand/Collapse] [Download] ({untitled.tex})
  1. \documentclass{article}
  2. \usepackage{fontspec}
  3. \setmainfont{Zapfino}
  4. \begin{document}
  5. That is a beautiful font.
  6. \end{document}

How to achieve multiple “LastPage” in one document? Topic is solved

Remove that \setcounter{page}{1} as it's done in the macro.

That doesn't raise my trust in Windows or ProTeXt or MiKTeX.

It shouldn't do a lot in the registry I assume. So one may just delete the MiKTeX folder on the disk and then install TeX Live.

How to achieve multiple “LastPage” in one document? Topic is solved

Storing data in the aux file and using it, requires another LaTeX run to read it in. I didn't analyze why one needs 3 runs here, but I'm aware that sometimes even more than 2 runs are required until stuff is balanced, such as auto-adjusting lengths of TOC numbering entries.

That file is source code and probably not present on your system but for example on Github. Well, there is one big distribution that is maintained and tested and ported to many platforms, and that is TeX Live . Then there is MiKTeX, a admirable effort of a single developer, only available for Window...

Hi, here is an application of egreg 's code for a similar question: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{fancyhdr} \usepackage{atenddvi} \usepackage{lastpage} \pagestyle{fancy} \fancyhead{} \fancyfoot[C]{\stepcounter{pageaux}Page \thepageaux\ of \ref{\currentauxref}} \usepackage{kantlipsum} \usepacka...

Online LaTeX Equation Editor

Thanks for letting us know!

That looks like a commercial site though since I see advertisements on it.

New ProTex user, and a bit lost

Hi Bernie, welcome to the forum! I can see the error message coming from the file config.cpp (MiKTeX configuration settings). ProTeXt is a modified version of MiKTeX. Hard to say from a distance what may cause it without seeing the configuration files on your computer. How about installing TeX Live ...

Is there a package to show all text and math lines, like showframe?

Hi Cham,

I think there's no such package yet. Though there's the cool package lua-visual-debug if this may be useful for you.
