Re: compiling a tex file to pdf

I think we need more details. I have never seen such an error. Can you post the log file? A minimal example?

Re: Inverse Search with Sumatra PDF and TeXnicCenter Topic is solved

Check your spelling, you did not type exactly the same as this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF.exe -inverse-search "\"C:\Program Files (x86)\TeXnicCenter\TeXnicCenter.exe\" /ddecmd \"[goto('%f','%l')]\""

Copy and paste this expression and it should work.

Re: Inverse Search with Sumatra PDF and TeXnicCenter Topic is solved

Ah sorry, I hadn't seen that it was already set in your "Viewer" configuration. The problem with the line: C:\Program Files (x86)\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF.exe -inverse-search "\"C:\Program Files (x86)\TeXnicCenter\TeXnicCenter.exe\" /ddecmd \"[goto(’%f’,’%l’)]\""...

Re: Issue with Accents in TXC2b1

Ok, but you don't need Unicode to write in french. ANSI is sufficient.

Re: Issue with Accents in TXC2b1

It is because your first project is in UTF-8 encoding (Unicode) and you use latin1 for inputenc. You can either:

  1. Save your latex file with ANSI encoding (in the Save As menu).

  2. Use \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc}.

Re: Need to close DVI View before new Compilation

Maybe you should post this problem on the Miktex forums.

Re: Need to close DVI View before new Compilation

For Latex, you need to put:

-src -interaction=nonstopmode "%Wm"

for the command line arguments.

In Yap, you need to put:

/ddecmd "[goto('%f','%l')]"

in the Inverse Search command line arguments.

And what is the error that you get ?

Re: Can't Find File

What is your "hello.tex" file?

Did you run the Configuration Wizard?

Re: Need to close DVI View before new Compilation

Your Yap inverse search configuration is wrong. It should be (on "command line", and not DDE):

View Project's Output: -1 "%bm.dvi"

Forward Search: -1 -s "%l%bm.tex" "%bm.dvi"

Close Document Before Running Latex: Do not close

Go to advanced search
