Re: Nomenclatur

From the nomencl documentation: Preamble \usepackage{nomencl} \makenomenclature Document \nomeclature{<simbol>}{<description>} \printnomenclature % put this command at the place where you want the nomenclature to be printed Settings for the profile you use for building should have "makeindex&qu...

Re: Add self-defined commands to the auto-complete list

The information for autocomplete is stored in a file "../TexnicCenter/packages/TeX.xml" It is stored in XML format. This is for example what I have added for AMSMath's align environment (it autocompletes upon typing "align"): <lxEnvironment name="align" expafter="}...

Project template handling

I like the simplicity of making templates in TXC, but there's one thing that I think it could be improved. My documents are in 95% of cases a bunch of few files which are organized in the following folders/files order: ./ - main.tex ./tex - chapter1.tex - chapter2.tex - chapter3.tex - ... ./fig - fi...

Re: Accented Computer Modern fonts in TrueType format

There is an OTF version of Computer Modern Roman font, made by Polish TeX user group (I believe so). You can find the fonts here: http://www.gust.org.pl/projects/e-foundry/latin-modern/download These fonts have eastern europe characters, so I believe that they have French characters (accents) as wel...

Re: New Maintainer for TeXnicCenter

Hi, Tino has planned to provide a roadmap soon. But I can promise you, that it will not contain support for non-Windows platform ;) This is simply due to the fact, that TeXnicCenter is based mainly on Windows specific code. Supporting it for other platforms would require a complete rewrite. Regards...

Re: New Maintainer for TeXnicCenter

This is really nice to hear :) I'm looking forward to see new versions of this cool software. However, I would like to ask if there's some roadmap or something like that which would explain the future development of TexnicCenter. For example, do you plan to "stick" to Windows platform or t...

Re: How to get .tex-file always opened in a maximized window?

As far as I know these settings are stored in the file <projectname.tps>. However, this file is created only when you're dealing with the projects.

So, at least to my knowledge, it is not possible to open the file maximized unless it's contained in some project.

Re: appendix problems

My opinion is, that it is not good to enumerate figures with something that doesn't exist. In your case, there actually is no "number" A. So, why using it at all, if it's nowhere. I know that it is more or less obvious that the first appendix has "number" A, second B etc., even i...

Passing "values" to equations

The idea is the following. I'm writing a report with rather complicated equations which depend on the same parameters. So, I would like to be able to write equations in a way that I can change the value of those parameters only once, and all subsequent equations, which depend on that parameter, woul...
