matrix/vector algebra

I need to write a matrix/vector equation of the form

[matrix]*[vector]=[vector]

All on the same line. Is there a relatively simple way to do this?

Thanks.

Right bracket around itemized list

Does anyone know how to make a bracket or a brace on the right side of an itemized list? I've tried several google searches and found nothing too helpful. It seems like it should be fairly simple.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Numbering in-line Equations

I'm creating a document where I want to be able to do three things:

equation numbers for in-line math
equations numbers for regular math
comments in the right margin

I'd also like to have some control over the numbering, especially for the in-line math (i. e. I don't want all in-line math ...

Eliminating automatic indentation

Is there a way to format a document so that all automatic indentation is suppressed, but \indent functions normally? When I use the \setlength{\parindent}{0in} it seems as if \indent stops working. Thoughts?

Best Practice for Graphs

I'm preparing a document for which I need to make a variety of 2D graphs, generally plotting simple functions such as sin(x) , sqrt(x) , etc. I need to be able to label the graphs, choose the axes variables, and have multiple functions on one graph, but that's about all I need.

Given my needs, what ...

Re: Explanations of terms in equations

Thanks so much for your help, and sorry for posting to multiple sub-forums. The second method you suggest, using \parbox, works except when the first argument has "mathematical" terms, such as \delta. I'm trying to sort this out right now. Any ideas why this might be happening and how I could fix it ...

Explanations of terms in equations

I'm writing a document that has a number of equations, and in many cases I need to explain what each side of the equation represents. Is there any way to create brackets below each side of an equation and then to write a brief description below the brackets?

Alternatively, I could use lines ...
