Would it also be possible to make code folding optional ?

I.e.: would it be possible to turn code folding ON/OFF using a checkbox or so in the settings-dialogbox?

The reason is that I am actually use(d) to use the click in the margin (it I may call it that) to select one or more lines. This is a ...
