Questions and discussions about the MPro Installation Guide
Dear Montag,
Thanks for an excellent guide, which I used with great joy and success in the last month for installation of MyriadPro and MinionPro - your step-by-step guide is extremely appreciated.
Unfortunately, today, when I attempted to apply the methods of your guide once again - now on a ...

Re: Manual Package Installation
Have you remembered to refresh the file name database (Refresh FNDB) via MiKTeX Options (Programs -> MiKTeX -> Maintenance -> Settings)? You might also want to press the Update Formats button after having installed a new package.
In the 'general' tab, you should also be able to fix your package ...

RevTeX4 — The widetext environment and the flow of text
Dear board,
I am using RevTeX4 to write a two-column article for submission (my first serious attempt at such endeavours). In this article I will, unfortunately, need at least a couple of very long equations that cannot be split, and so requires the full width of both columns. I have searched the ...

Re: Beamer: Colors and Split theme
Thank you very much Ignasi - you're suggestion worked like a charm. Excellent!
I had looked over chapter 16 and 17 prior to writing here - but could not figure out the details. I must not have looked closely enough: I'll give the manual another go at my next free opportunity.
Again, thank you!

Beamer: Colors and Split theme
Hi there community :)
I was hoping that this community might once again help me with a minor issue.
I'm creating a presentation by use of Beamer, and I would like to use the Split theme as I am quite fond of the whole ToC-idea that this theme offers. However, after several uses of this theme, and ...

Re: Scripted lower-case 'a'
I did try your second suggestion as well. I've been looking around since then, and I suppose I must admit now, that I have probably had too high expectation for the "outworldlyness" of such a scripted lower-case 'a'. It just doesn't differ in the way that a regular 'A' differs from a '\mathcal{A ...

Scripted lower-case 'a'
Thank you for your reply Thorsten, I didn't know of the \mathfrak option.
My thesis-partner and I finally decided, that we didn't absolutely need it to be lower-case, and went with an upper case 'A' instead using the 'DeclareMathAlphabet' command suggested by frabjous:
\DeclareMathAlphabet{\sll ...

Re: Scripted lower-case 'a'
Thank you for your reply frabjous,
I've tried your suggestions. However, I had hoped for something that had a more pronounced difference with the standard 'a', such that the two could be clearly distinguished. Hmm, maybe I should just think i terms of finding an entirely different symbol.

Scripted lower-case 'a'
Hello,
I'm writing a rather large paper, and I've begun to run out of symbols. Specifically, I need a "new" way to type 'a' in my equations - and I figured that i calligraphed or scripted a would be just the thing. I know that $\mathcal{A}$ would give me an uppercase scripted A, however, I really ...
