This worked for my XP computer but failed to work for my Vista one. I uninstalled LyX and reinstalled LyX 1.6.6. I did not touch any setting. Then I removed cmmi10 and all the rest of the fonts that are in Bakoma / already with LyX (1.6.6) -- they appeared as shortcuts along with "Ribit's cmmi10 ...
