Hi Stefan,

indeed it is a fleuron / glyph like you posted, an example from the book is attached.

By contacting the maker of the book, I found out that it is a drawing of a Ginko leaf made by the writer. The maker scaled that picture and used as a fleuron. So it is a unique thing and not in any ...

Ginko leaf

Hi,

I have a book where a beautiful Ginko leaf is printed after every part of the text. It looks like some LaTeX symbol, but it is not in the 'Comprehensive LaTeX Symbol List' form Scott Pakin. The internet is also inconclusive.

Does anyone know where to find or where to look?

Simple Converter Word to Latex

Hi,

Give pandoc a try -- https://pandoc.org/

I use pandoc in FreeBSD and Linux to convert whatever format to something editable. Just tried conversion of a docx file to .tex and it looks reasonable good. However I don't have a Word file with the math you provided.

hi,

I joined this forum to learn more of LaTeX en maybe share some of my experiences.

I am an enthusiastic user of (daring fireball) markdown in Vim to make beautiful pdf files. Pandoc is my tool to make it all happen.

learning more about LaTeX could take me a huge step further, so I'll plunge ...
