My two indexes are named: namesind, subjind. In the Latex "output" window for postprocessors ("Nachbearbeitung") I have entered:

For nemesind:
Anwendung: the path of the programm file makeindex.exe
Argumente: the path of the data file namesind.idx

Obviously my definition of postprocessors is incorrect. For Latex prompts the following error message which says that it can't create the necessary .ind files.

How to define correct output profiles using Splitindex?

I am having problems using the package splitindex to create two indices (for author names and subject). How to define correct output profiles to create these two indexes? I appreciate receiving advice.

How can I produce in a multi-chapter book, in addition to the cumulative bibliography at the end of the book, separate, local bibliographies at the end of each chapter?

Addendum:

I replaced Adobe Reader 10 with Adobe Reader 9. The problem that I was encountering disappeared instantaneously. So, my conclusion from my annoying experience is this:

Adobe Reader 10 does not co-operate satisfactorily with MikTeX / TeXnicCenter. Forget it.

It seems my complaints have been pretty unclear. PDF files are made, I said. I should have better said: PDF outputs are generated, though, they are not automatically displayed (by "view current file"). This button only invokes the Adobe Reader with a list of all PDF files in the folder, but without ...
